WINUM is the Wisconsin North and Upper Michigan District for the Optimist International made up of 48 individual clubs throughout Wisconsin and Upper Michigan.

Friday, August 21

5:00-7:00 pm – Bowling at Dales’s Weston Lanes (on your own)
7:00-10:00 pm – Hospitality at Comfort Inn and Suites

Saturday, August 22

8:00 am – Past Governor’s Breakfast at hotel
8:00 am – Check-in & Registration at Dale’s Weston Lanes
8:30 am – First Timers Meeting: We have a gift for you!
9:00 am – Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance and First Timers Introductions
9:30 am – General Session: Leadership Reports
– Board of Directors Meeting: All members of the District Executive Board and all Club Presidents (or their representatives) are voting members of the board and should be present to conduct any business of the district. Vote for District Leaders.
10:20 am – Final Skit: “Stand Tall, Face the Sun — Encouraging Others to Bloom”
10:30 am – Break
10:40 am – Roundtable Training for Incoming Club Presidents, Secretaries, Treasurers, Lt. Governors, and Everyone! with Jann & Sue Van Dreser
11:35 am – Idea Wall – What are Your Priorities for WINUM for 2026-27?
11:45 am – Purchase Raffle Tickets
Noon – 1 pm – Lunch, Optimist Foundation Raffle Baskets
1:00 pm – Memorial Service
1:15 pm – Training: DREAM – Session 4 “Encouraging Others” with Jodi Arriola
– A warm, engaging session on sparking motivation, building strong team energy, and keeping recognition flowing so everyone feels seen, appreciated, and excited to jump in.
2:00 pm -Break
2:10 pm – What is Your Favorite Spice? Remember to bring a spice to donate to a local food pantry.
2:30 pm – Town Hall Meeting
3:00 pm – Optimist Creed & Farewell

Register online for the conference or download the conference registration form to mail. When you register online, you can either pay electronically with a credit card or pay later with a check at the conference. Register before August 16, 2026 to save $5 per person.

ROOM RESERVATIONS: Hotel rate is reserved at $126 Dbl Queen / $135.00 King per room + taxes and fees. Please make a reservation before the cutoff date of July 5th, 2026!! You can always cancel if you cannot attend!
